Privacy Policy
This is a plain-language summary of how CineGuard handles data. It is not legal advice, and the site owner should have it reviewed before relying on it.
Browsing without an account
You can search films and read timelines without signing in. We do not ask for personal details to browse. Search terms that return no results are stored so we can see which films are most requested; they are not linked to you.
If you create an account
- Your email address and a display name, used to sign you in and to attribute contributions.
- Content you submit: film requests, reviews, discussion posts, reports and watchlist entries.
- Sign-in metadata kept by our authentication provider, such as timestamps of recent logins.
Reviews and discussion posts are public and shown with your display name. Your watchlist and your reports are private to you and to moderators. Your email address is never shown publicly.
Notification sign-ups
If you ask to be notified when a specific film gets a timeline, we store your email address against that film title and use it only for that notification.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data.
- We don't run advertising or third-party ad trackers.
- We don't build profiles of your viewing habits or your triggers.
Storage and retention
Data is stored in our managed database and authentication provider, which act as processors on our behalf. Account data is kept while your account exists. Public contributions may remain after deletion, detached from your identity, so film timelines stay intact.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your own reviews and discussion posts, clear your watchlist, and ask us to delete your account and personal data. Requests go to cineguard@outlook.cz.
